Redmi Note 9 Pro now receiving Android 11 in Europe, Turkey and Indonesia. Check below…
Xiaomi starts pushing a stable Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for the global Redmi Note 9 Pro after months of testing. The update arrived in India about six months ago but contained some bugs, and that delayed the global rollout. However, it seems the developer has addressed these issues, given that they’re now pushing the update to Mi Pilots for preview.
There have been a series of complaints about issues found on MIUI updates, something which the company acknowledged. According to Xiaomi, they haven’t focused on stability and coupled with the resources required for Android 11 adoption, these issues have persisted. And to reduce these bugs, all major updates now arrive for select users (Mi Pilots) before their public rollout. Of course, the Android 11-based MIUI 12 update for the global Redmi Note 9 Pro,l is one of those updates. It has been released for these groups for further preview before a wider rollout.
The update has a version number – MIUI 12.0.1.0 RJZMIXM – and weighs in at 2.3GB. On the update log is “stable MIUI based on Android 11” and “Location info can now be reported automatically before the device is powered off.” These features, along with the ones baked inside Android 11, are all in this package. It’s available for download via the links below, but you need an authorized Mi Beta account or TWRP Recovery to install the build.
As it stands now, only the Indian and global Redmi Note 9 Pro have received the Android 11 update. We expect a wider rollout that will see the build extend to other regions in the coming days. That said, you should keep an eye on our tracker page for every new information.
