Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro starts adopting Android 11 with a stable MIUI 12 update

For some months now, Xiaomi has been busy deploying the stable MIUI 12 update to its eligible devices. Thus far, the update has made it to a good number of phones, but the rollout is still far from completion, with many phones yet to receive the update. However, that hasn’t stopped developers from rolling the Android 11 update, which already arrived for Mi 10 and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom. Also, it seems the Android 11 update for Redmi Note 9 Pro has been released as well.

The Android 11 update for Redmi Note 9 Pro is arriving with a version number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 RJWINXM, and weighs in at 2.3GB. From the version number, it’s for the Indian users, but we expect to see it starts arriving for other regions in the coming days. As per the changelog, the update only came along with the latest Android OS, but of course, it should also introduce features of the new operating system.

Meanwhile, the update is still in the Stable Beta phase, and as such, only selected users will first receive the build. After the preview stage, and if no bug is found, it will then start arriving for the general public. However, you can follow the link below and download the recovery ROM, which you can flash using the recovery method.

Note: you might encounter an error flashing this ROM, but that’s normal. If such a situation occurs, give it some days and try again, or better, wait for the OTA to arrive.
