POCO X3 NFC remains without MIUI 12.5, months after the current iteration of MIUI was released. The device with POCO F2 Pro was the only POCO phones that appeared in the eligible list of MIUI 12.5 in Q1 2021. Of course, the latter has since received the update, while the former could only start receiving Android 11 a couple of weeks ago. The new Android OS was believed to arrive with MIUI 12.5, but that didn’t happen, and it seems that is delaying the POCO X3 NFC MIUI 12.5 rollout.
Early reports suggested that the update would arrive this month, but that seems not to be the case. According to a POCO executive, the POCO X3 NFC MIUI 12.5 rollout will start in early August. That’s not entirely off from the previous reports, given how Xiaomi deploys its update. The company first release an update for a few selected users known as Mi Pilots to preview for bugs. The public only starts receiving the update after a successful preview, and most times can take weeks. Hence, the update might still start rolling out this month and extend to August for those, not on the Beta testers list.
Also, we anticipate the rollout to start this month, given the report that Xiaomi will unveil MIUI 13 next month. If that’s the case, we expect more phones to receive the MIUI 12.5 update, including the POCO X3 NFC, this month and throughout the next month. Meanwhile, we have put up MIUI 13 update tracker page for the latest info, and eligible phones to get the upcoming version of MIUI.
Meanwhile, if you’re still waiting for the POCO X3 NFC MIUI 12.5 rollout, we believe that update will start seeding in the coming weeks. That said, you should keep an eye on our tracker page to know when the update becomes available in your region.
