The MIUI 12.5 rollout has been swift this past couple of weeks, and that’s because it’s time to move on to the next iteration coming towards the end of the year. There are still few phones yet to receive the update, perhaps regions, given how Xiaomi deploys updates. As for the Mi 9 Lite, it has already received the MIUI 12.5 update, but the build is yet to arrive in Europe. However, the device is receiving its last Android 10-based MIUI 12 update before the current version of MIUI starts seeding.
Xiaomi is pushing both Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 to the Mi 9 Lite simultaneously. It has already upgraded the global variants of the device, but it seems some things have to be done before the update starts seeding. Perhaps, that’s why the new stable Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite update in Europe was released. The build is supposedly the last MIUI 12 based update that’ll arrive on the device before its planned MIUI 12.5 upgrade, which will arrive with Android 11. Hence, it’s necessary to be on the latest build for a seamless transition.
Meanwhile, the new stable Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite update in Europe is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.0.10.0 QFCEUXM. It comes in a 174MB package and brings the July 2021 security patch to increase system security and stability. You can check for the update via the Updater App or download using the link below. And concerning when MIUI 12.5 update will be available in that region, there’s no ETA, but expect the update this month.
