Xiaomi has been swiftly rolling out the stable MIUI 12.5 and Android 11 update in the last couple of days. The idea is to finalize the deployment and focus on the next iteration of both builds, which are nearing a stable release. With that, we anticipated a busy week with eligible units set to receive the build, and as expected, the Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite Android 11 has started seeding to global users. It comes with a stable-based MIUI 12.5 update, and hopefully, it will be available for the public in the coming days.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite Android 11 update has a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RFCMIXM. It weighs in at 2.5GB. Coming along with the update are features of the new MIUI OS, which include instant response to gestures, new system sounds and wallpapers, enhanced security, and an improved haptic feedback system. Also, with MIUI 12.5, it is now possible to uninstall some system apps while the Note app has been revamped.

Aside from introducing the aforementioned features, the update brings a stable MIUI based on Android 11. It bumps the Android security patch level to June 2021 to increase system security and stability. Meanwhile, there are some known bugs with the Xiaomi Android 11 update, which MIUI 12.5 couldn’t address. This problem has to do with third-party launchers that have stopped working. Also, chat bubbles have turned square while the keyboard overlaps with floating windows in some cases.
