POCO is allegedly working on the successor of the popular POCO M3 Pro 5G. The latter arrived mid last year, and it seems the company is about to refresh the series. Going by the recent reports, the device has bagged multiple certifications, meaning the launch is around the corner. Interestingly, the launch timeframe of the supposed successor of the POCO M3 Pro 5G might have just been revealed.
The Xiaomi sub-brand, POCO, is known for rebranding Xiaomi and Mi phones. It seems they are about to rebadged another Redmi phone according to certifications details. The supposed POCO M4 Pro 5G has a model number “21091116AG”, has a Chinese variant with a model number “2109116AC” under POCO branding.
Unfortunately, not much of the device details have been revealed. So far, we only know it’s a 5G enabled phone and will support 33W fast charging. We expect a huge battery capacity while the device will keep the trend of a MediaTek processor. Of course, it will run MIUI 12.5 on top of Android 11 outside of the box.
We expect to get more details about the device in the coming days if the rumors are legit. According to Mukul Sharma via 91Mobiles, the device might arrive next month or late this month. It’s important to note the launch time frame for the POCO M4 Pro 5G is for the global models. It’s unclear when the device will arrive in India or if the company has plans of selling the device for that reason. Whatever the plan is, we hope to find out in the coming days or weeks.
