It’s only a matter of a few weeks before Xiaomi unveils the MIUI 13. The company is yet to release an official teaser or a poster to confirm the claims. However, all reports hint at the arrival of the next iteration of MIUI in the coming weeks. The latest hint comes with the current closed beta build, which has introduced a new MIUI logo. It shows the MIUI 12 logo with construction lines over it, meaning an imminent release of a new version of MIUI.
Before the surprise introduction of MIUI 12.5, we were all hoping for MIUI 13. Perhaps, things didn’t work out as the company had to halt all plans to focus on issues left by the MIUI 12 update. Unfortunately, that took a long time. And to make sure of the fix, two iterations of MIUI based on MIUI 12 have since been released. The current version – Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 – will be finalized in the coming weeks – in time for the MIUI 13 unveiling.
And it seems Xiaomi is already working to phase the MIUI 12 out as it starts the reconstruction of its MIUI logo. The current closed beta build brought a white paint MIUI 12 logo job with a construction line over it. That shows the logo is under reconstruction, and of course, it should be MIUI 13 next. Interestingly, a similar situation occurred before the introduction of MIUI 12, and hence, we believe the launch of Xiaomi’s next Android skin is imminent.
Also, the company is already testing the Android 12-based MIUI 13 build for its current flagship phones. That’s another indication that we are seeing the MIUI 13 soon. The update is expected to bring some virtual changes, improve stability, and address bugs. We hope to find out more in the coming days, especially since the rumored December 16 launch date is legit.
