The stable MIUI 13 isn’t supposed to start rolling out until later this month from the release plan. Typical of Xiaomi, the update has reached the Xiaomi Pad 5 series, while the Mi 11 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update has been released. The build is exclusive to Chinese models, which is limited to “stable beta” testers.
Xiaomi introduced some exciting features with the MIUI 13. Although it focuses more on improving stability, as that has been lacking all these years, there are some notable features, at least for the Chinese version of MIUI. Luckily, the Mi 11 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update comes with these features and more. Of course, Android 12 is part of the package, but you might not notice some of the changes due to MIUI.
Meanwhile, MIUI 13 has improved the system app fluency by 23%, while third-party applications are optimized with 15% fewer dropped frames. There has been an introduction of privacy features, including a new privacy watermark, face verification, and fraud protection. The update also brought new cool wallpapers and MiSans Font. Also, new widgets like “Super Countdown Day” and “Water Measuring Cup” have been introduced. Check here for the complete features of MIUI 13.
The update will arrive as MIUI 13.0.4.0 SKBCNXM in a 4.2GB package. It comes with all the features listed on this post, including those on this link. However, it might take time before arriving on your device due to the nature of OTAs. And for the global users, it’s unknown when the update will start seeding, but keep an eye on our tracker page for that.
