Xiaomi has since suspended the Mi A series lineup but keeps supporting the Mi A3. It’s the only device, launched under the A-series, with active support, according to the Android One Policy. Going by that, the device is eligible for security patch updates for the next few months, but that is just it. And as expected, the January security patch for the Xiaomi Mi A3 has started seeding globally.
The January security patch for the Xiaomi Mi A3 is coming in a 19.29MB package. For a build of that size, it has probably only pushed the Android security patch level to January 2022. Meanwhile, from the changelog, some bugs has been fixed, while security has improved. We are yet to acknowledge the bugs that have been fixed. However, the update is safe, and we recommend that you download and install it when prompted.
The update has a version number – V12.0.18.0 RFQMIXM. From the build number, the update is exclusive for global users. However, we hope for the European release in the coming days. Hence, if you’re using the global version, you can check for the update via system updates or download with the links below.
