The predecessor of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro, the Watch 4 series kind of met the expectations of most tech enthusiasts given its sleek hardware and amazing software which is still even receiving some updates. While there are lots of expectations for the Watch 5 Series, it has been confirmed that the Galaxy Watch 5 will not feature a classic variant.
How sources discovered that there is going to be a Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro but not a classic version
Samsung is dishing out a new watch Beta termed OneUI 4.5 Beta and the predecessor of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro, that is, the Watch 4 series has already applied online. However, on the beta version of the Samsung Health App, a list of compatible devices was highlighted of which the soon to debut wearables, Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro were among leaving out the classic even after rumours proposed we will be getting 3 models.
So going by the recent development, the Classic variant isn’t coming up anymore, but just the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. The already enrolled Galaxy Watch 4 was found next to the listed Watch 5 on the Beta Samsung Health app.
This is looking like a Deja Vu, as this was seen before the release of the Watch 4 on the beta Samsung health app where the wearable was listed after the Watch Active2 and Watch 3.
While the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is going to be available in two sizes, the Pro counterpart is going to be limited to just one size only. According to our tipster, Sammobile, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is housing a strong 572 mAh battery which should fix the battery life issues the wearable users complained of in the predecessor, Watch 4.
Apart from the amazing battery life, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series should have sleek features like body composition monitoring, heart rate sensor, and circular Oled display among others. The Watch 5 shows promising designs and would be a selling point too due to its improved battery life.
