How To sign up for a Twitter Blue Account

Twitter Blue is a $4.99 per month paid service that allows you to read news articles without ads and unlocks experimental new features such as the edit button. Here’s how to sign up for this account:

  • First, open the Twitter app.
  • Next, select Twitter Blue by clicking More in the left sidebar or tapping your profile picture in the top-left.
  • After that, you’ll be able to subscribe with a credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
  • Then, you can begin editing once you’ve signed up.

How To Edit Tweets on a Twitter Blue Account

  • Sign into your Twitter blue account via the app.
  • Go to a tweet you sent in the last 30 minutes and tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the tweet.
  • Then, choose Edit Tweet.
  • A new screen will appear, similar to the one on which you write tweets. You can use it to make changes to your tweet, such as adding text, deleting text, or attaching a photo.
  • When you’re done, click Update.

Limitations to Editing Tweets on Twitter

There are limits to what tweets you can edit on Twitter. First of all, you can only edit a tweet that was sent within the last 30 minutes. Once those 30 minutes have passed, the tweet is irreversible.

In addition, when you edit a tweet, a pencil icon appears on the message, informing everyone that it was edited and when you did it. Similarly, you can only edit your tweet five times, and retweets, replies, and polls cannot be edited.

Finally, you must edit your tweets on the same device on which you sent the original tweet. So, if you sent the original tweet from your iPhone, you won’t be able to edit it from your Android device.

Wrapping it Up

There you have it on how to edit tweets on Twitter! In brief, it took several years for Twitter to release this feature for its users. So, if you’re interested in editing subsequent tweets, go through the requirements and tips above and you’re good to go!
