Wired Apple iPods? Surprising right? Well, it might just be a reality according to some speculations and leaks that have surfaced online. Let’s take a look at the events pushing for the first wired Apple iPods.

First-wired Apple iPods might be a reality

Pillonel describes his most recent modification to an Apple device as his most ingenious endeavor thus far. He converted a broken pair of AirPods that he possessed for three years into wired earphones by using a broken pair of AirPods. Click on the link(at the end of the article) to see the video (which he put as a YouTube short) (via 9to5Google). The engineer was amazed that no one had thought of this previously.

For reference, Pillonel is the engineer who transformed an iPhone X’s lightning connector into a functional USB-C jack and then auctioned off the gadget for more than $86,000. Ken Pillonel was ahead of his time since his 2021 DIY project forecasted the changes Apple will make with the iPhone 15 series this year. Because of EU law, the latter will have a USB-C port. According to the newest reports, all iPhone 15 devices will include a USB-C connection to avoid having to offer various charging methods in different areas.

Ken states in the video that he bought the AirPods in February 2020 and the batteries lasted barely 30 seconds (the batteries are designed to last up to three years). Instead of returning the earbuds to Apple and paying nearly $100 on new batteries, Pillonel shattered them and changed them into a corded set of headphones with a charging case that he converted to USB-C, of course, that is, wired Apple iPods

We’re not sure if Pillonel intends to auction off his wired Apple iPods as he did with the iPhone X that he converted to USB-C. But if he does, you can bet that the bidding will not be as high.
