Google has released the much-anticipated Android 14 beta 2 update. The update is currently rolling out to eligible users preview, and seems to bring a new feature.
Earlier today, Google announced it is releasing a new feature called lock screen and shortcuts. It’s a customizable lock screen from clocks with many styles to app shortcuts. You can read about everything about the upcoming feature here.
Perhaps, the new feature might be part of the Android 14 beta 2 update, which is an incremental Beta-quality release to beta 1. As such, Google has addressed some issues reported by developers and other issues.

The update is available for eligible Pixel users with version number UPB2.230407.014. For Pixel 6 series phones on Verizon, the update has a version UPB2.230407.014.A1. Unfortunately, it’s on April 2023 security patch, while unlocked versions are getting the build with the May security patch.
