Excitement builds as leaks reveal more specifications of the highly anticipated successor to the Google Pixel 7 Pro—the Google Pixel 8 Pro. With the Pixel 7 series already known for its exceptional video and picture quality, expectations are high for the Pixel 8 series.
Details of the Google Pixel 8 Pro specs
The Google Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and immersive visual experience. It will be powered by the Google Tensor G3 SoC, which includes a dedicated Titan security chip. The device is expected to offer 12GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB. To support extended usage, the Pixel 8 Pro will be equipped with a substantial 4,950 mAh battery, capable of 27W cable charging.
As expected, the Google Pixel 8 Pro will debut with Android 14, offering the latest software features and updates from Google. Biometric security will be enhanced with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, ensuring convenient and secure access to the device. Additionally, an infrared temperature sensor, a unique addition, will allow users to measure temperatures—an especially relevant feature during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Pixel 8 Pro’s rear camera setup is rumored to include three sensors: a 50 MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 64 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 48 MP telephoto sensor. Selfies will be captured with an 11 MP front-facing camera. Speculations suggest that the primary sensor will be Samsung’s ISOCELL GN2, the telephoto sensor will be the ISOCELL GM5, and the ultrawide sensor will be Sony’s IMX787. Additionally, a time of flight (TOF) sensor is expected to enhance focus capabilities.
