What the New Twitter Logo Signifies

Elon Musk’s tenure as the owner of Twitter has been marked by various changes, with the most recent being the introduction of the Twitter X logo. This new logo, representing the letter “X,” is a symbol of innovation and progress, concepts that Musk frequently associates with his other ventures, such as SpaceX and Tesla.

However, the sudden change was met with mixed reactions from users, many of whom still find it challenging to adjust to the unfamiliar “X” logo. Some have even reported difficulty locating their Twitter tabs on web browsers due to the logo switch.

Fortunately, a solution is at hand for those who yearn to see the blue bird back in flight. There is a Google Chrome plugin called “Restore Birdie” that allows users to revert to the old Twitter logo. We’ll show how to use it in the next section.

Here’s How To Bring Back old Twitter Logo

  • Open your Google Chrome browser.
  • Navigate to the Chrome Web Store.
  • In the search bar, type “Restore Birdie.”
  • If the extension does not appear immediately, click on “More Extensions.”
  • Select “Restore Birdie” from the search results.
  • Click on the “Add to Chrome” button to install the extension.

With “Restore Birdie” successfully added to your browser, you can now enjoy the familiar blue bird logo every time you access Twitter, bringing back a sense of comfort and nostalgia.

In essence, Elon Musk’s fondness for the letter “X” is evident in many of his ventures, including the prominent use of the X Corp as the parent company of Twitter. The “X” symbol has become an integral part of Musk’s brand identity and is associated with innovation and future-forward thinking, reflecting his ambitious vision for the companies under his leadership.

Linda Yaccarino, the current CEO of Twitter, shared her perspective on the logo change in a blog post, stating that second chances to create a significant impact are rare in life and business. Undeniably, Twitter has been a transformative force in the realm of communication, leaving an indelible impression on society as a global town square. However, with the introduction of the Twitter X logo, the platform is poised for additional modifications, signaling a new era under Musk’s guidance.
