Samsung is still testing Android 14 and One UI 6, with both expected to start rolling out simultaneously. The much-anticipated upgrades will soon arrive for the Galaxy S23 units as Samsung edges towards completing the beta program.
With Google Pixel phones running stable Android 14 update, we expect Samsung to release the update to the Galaxy S23 units soon. The company seems to be making progress and has released, probably the last Android 14 with One UI 6 beta update to the Galaxy S23 users. Of course, the update is only available to registered beta testers, while everyone gets the public release, which could happen anytime from now.
Meanwhile, the latest update has a version number ZWJ6, and weighs around 900MB. We believe it’s probably the last beta build, as it didn’t bring loads of bug fixes but a few. The changelog mentions “improved touch stability, improved overall software stability, and much other stability.” Currently, only those in India are reporting receiving the update, while other regions will start getting it in the coming days.
Of course, the update is available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. If you’re a registered beta tester, you can check for the latest update via Settings>>Software update>>Download and install.
When is stable Android 14 with One UI 6 coming?
There’s no ETA, but with the testing “almost” completed, Samsung will probably release the update this month. However, the rollout will start with the Galaxy S23 series before extending to other devices. We expect Galaxy A-series devices to receive the update after the release for Galaxy S23.
