It has been almost a month since Google officially announced the Pixel Watch 2. Though the Watch looks similar to the first generation, there are many improvements over the predecessor under the hood. However, it seems these changes haven’t improved on Google product’s hardware issues.
Google products have a history of hardware problems, and while it seems the company has moved past that, the latest issues with the Pixel Watch 2 say otherwise. The latest reports from multiple users claim the Google Pixel Watch 2 won’t charge with the officially provided contact charger.
According to a user on Reddit, his Watch 2 was working fine until some days ago. He tried using multiple outlets and chargers, but none worked. Another user said he experiences the charging issue with his Pixel Watch 2 intermittently.
As usual, not everyone have the issue, but it seems to affect most people using the new Watch. There was a case where the Watch 2 won’t charge at the initial setup. The Watch couldn’t recognize the Charger, according to the user, and the battery level kept dropping. Trying different outlets and chargers would work for some time and then stop.

Of course, the issue has been reported to Google, but they are yet to make any statement on what the problem might be. Both Watch and Charger are are probably faculty, given the reports we have seen. Nevertheless, we expect Google to acknowledge the problem and let everyone know why the Pixel Watch 2 won’t charge.
How to fix the Google Pixel Watch 2 won’t charge
There’s currently no fix for the issue. Some people had their Watch charge after trying new outlets or changing the charger. However, it seems to work for some days and then stops. If you’re having issues charging your PW2, we suggest waiting for an official fix from Google since it seems the company shipped some defective Watches and Chargers.
