Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 4G Android 14 HyperOS update is now rolling out for global users. As usual, the update is rolling out for limited users (Mi Pilots members) to preview the ROM before it starts rolling out to the public. However, we have provided a guideline to install the update manually.
Less than a week after the global release of HyperOS, Xiaomi has delivered the upgrade to a handful of premium and mid-range phones. The Redmi Note 12 NFC, Redmi Note 12S have all received the update, and now, Redmi Note 12 4G Android 14 HyperOS has started rolling out. It’s a Global release, but we expect other regions to start getting the upgrade soon.
It is rolling out with a version of OS.1.0.2.0 UMTMIXM 4.4GB and brings all the expected features. These include new animation language to make animations smooth, all new system fonts, a redesigned weather app, revamped control center, new home screen icons, and more. Aside from the HyperOS update, the update bumps Android security patch level to November 2023 to increase system security and stability. Of course, after installing the update, your device OS version will move to Android 14.
Meanwhile, if your bootloader is unlocked, you will not receive HyperOS via OTA and we doubt you can side-load either. Hence, make sure you have a locked bootloader before installing or waiting for an OTA. As for OTA, it will take about two weeks for the update to become available for everyone.
