While only a handful of premium phones have received the HyperOS update, which bumps the OS version to Android 14, Xiaomi has already released the much-anticipated upgrade to the Redmi Note 12 series. The update arrived for Redmi Note 12 NFC units a couple of hours ago, and now, the Redmi Note 12 Android 14-based HyperOS update is rolling out.
The Redmi Note 12S HyperOS update is rolling out for global users with a version number OS1.0.3.0.UHZMIXM. It weighs 4.2GB and brings some interesting features, which have improved animation, connectivity, and system performance. There has been a revamp of the control panel, while new fonts have been introduced.
The update also delivers the November 2023 security patch to increase system security and stability. However, only select users can install the update, as it is still under preview. We expect the public release to commence in two weeks if the preview phase goes as planned.
