It has been a few weeks since the Xiaomi HyperOS update got to global users. The much-anticipated upgrade is running on a handful of eligible phones, and as expected, users have started reporting issues after the upgrade. Thus far, we have not seen a “major” issue, but the few bugs reported can affect day-to-day use for these users.
Xiaomi will release a second Android 14-based HyperOS update to address some of these issues, but unfortunately, there’s no ETA. The company is still rolling out the update to more phones, and given that these problems are not “serious” it may take some time before they are fixed. Meanwhile, you can perform a factory reset to resolve some of these issues if your data is backed up in a safe location.
Can not receive incoming calls
After upgrading to HyperOS, POCO F5 users are reporting some difficulties receiving an incoming call on 5G. The problem seems exclusive to the Indian users running OS1.0.3.0.UMRINXM. Unfortunately, there’s no workaround, but the company has acknowledged the bug, and we expect a fix to arrive soon. However, you can set your network to 4G until a new update is released.
The temperature on the lock screen shows 0℃
The latest HyperOS update broke the temperature reading on the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13T. Those in Italy and Slovenia are reporting the bug: “temperature reads 0°C on the lock screen,” but it seems to affect all European HyperOS builds for both phones. The affected builds are OS1.0.1.0.UMCEUXM and OS1.0.2.0.UMFEUXM. While the issue is still under analysis, check if there is a new weather app update or create a weather widget on the lock screen.
