Xiaomi has extended the Android 14 HyperOS update rollout to the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. The update is currently limited to Mi Pilots members in China and will soon start rolling out for everyone.
It was not surprising that the Redmi Note 13 series debuted running Android 13 in China. However, it was a different feeling when it arrived in the international market with the same Android OS. Google released Android 14 in October, three months before the release of the Redmi Note 13 series globally. You would expect these phones to receive the Android 14 HyperOS update early, but it has taken till now for the update to start rolling out.
As expected, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G Android 14 HyperOS update is now rolling out but for those in China. It’s seeding with a version number OS1.0.2.0.UNOCNXM and weighs 5.9GB. Aside from introducing all the expected features, the update bumped the Android security patch level to January 2024 to increase system security and stability.
While waiting for the update, ensure your bootloader is locked. There have been bug reports after installing HyperOS, and we recommend backing up your data before proceeding. With an authorized Mi Beta account, you can install using the link below.
