A couple of days ago, Samsung started rolling out the Galaxy S23 One UI 6.1 update to eligible users. The update has arrived for a handful of devices, and as usual, users have been reporting some issues. We have reported about the slow charging and display issues, and the latest bug has to do with the display.
According to reports, the Galaxy S23 Fingerprint issue is frustrating. When a user wakes up the device, the fingerprint icon doesn’t show up, making it impossible to unlock the device. Even when they place their finger on the spot of the fingerprint reader, nothing happens. Interestingly, once they release their finger, the icon appears, and they can unlock their device.
Of course, that’s frustrating, but we believe it’s something a factory reset will resolve. We only recommend resetting your device when you have done a proper backup of all your files. Otherwise, wait for a fix with the April 2024 security patch, which could start rolling out this week.
