Early this year, Xiaomi unveiled MI CC9 and CC9e, with the latter answering Mi A3, globally. The device (CC9E) runs Android 9 out-of-the-box, powered by Snapdragon 665, meaning it has the same hardware and software features with the Mi A3.
The Mi CC9E, however, has started receiving the newest Xiaomi custom skin, MIUI 11. The build weighs about 2.3GB and has a version number, MIUI 11 9.11.12. It’s a Beta released but based on Android 10, and you might want to wait for the Stable release.
If you can’t wait for Stable release, you can download the 2.3GB MIUI 11.9.11.12 uodste, and have experience of the latest MIUI 11. The update comes with the Full view experience, optimized by removing clutter. You’ll also enjoy Ambient display because of the AMOLED display and the ability to edit your fonts.
Other features include an updated Security Patch level to improve system performance and stability. You also get better battery and camera performance. Follow this link to learn everything about the new update.
Meanwhile, since Mi A3 and Mi CC9e are the same device but have different names, the former will likely start getting Android 10, immediately the MIUI 11 9.11.12 Stable is released. Also, the Beta update might be hitting Mi CC9 as well, and you might need to scan for a new update and see if is there.
The stable version is expected to start seeding any time from now, once the Beta is successful. However, you might need to check for the update, and if you’re using MI CC9E, go to updater app and scan for new updates.
Also, to check for the update on your Xiaomi Mi A3, navigate to setting > About Phone > System updates, and scan for a new update. Be patient if the update isn’t there yet, because it hasn’t officially rolled out.
