It doesn’t look like Xiaomi is going to complete the MIUI 12 rollout this year, considering the number of phones yet to start receiving the update. But that hasn’t affected developers from rolling out subsequent builds to those that have already bagged the update as a monthly security patch.
The Redmi 6 Pro is another Xiaomi phone that’s now picking up its second MIUI 12 update, which is based on Android Pie. It’s arriving as MIUI 12.0.4.0 PDMMIXM and weighs in at 341MB. However, if you’re yet to receive the MIUI 12 update on your Redmi 6 Pro for the first time, it will arrive in a 680MB package.
As per the changelog, the new MIUI 12 update for Redmi 6 Pro brings the September security patch fix and also improved system security. You can check the updater app for the update or use the download links below.
Also, the Redmi 9 Prime is picking a new stable update in India. The update is based on MIUI 11, which means the MIUI 12 update for Redmi 9 Prime isn’t ready yet. However, it’s good to install this current build to improve your security patch level and also prepare the system for a seamless transition to MIUI 12.
The update is arriving as MIUI 11.0.6.0 QJCINXM and weighs in at 197MB. It brings the October security patch and also added new features to the camera; watermark and full-screen mode.
