After the successful Unveiling of the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, Xiaomi has to officially announce a new device into the mid-range series dubbed Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro. It sports 19:9 aspect ratio pane, the first notch screen device from Xiaomi and is powered by power efficient Snapdragon 625 processor that featured in Redmi 5 Plus.  Available in 3 memory configurations – 3/32GB, 4/32GB and 4/64GB variant. The camera department retained dual 12MP + 5MP rear-facing shooter while on the front dreaded notch is 8MP selfie snapper. There is a rear mounted identification scanner and a massive 4000mAh battery that will charge through Micro USB cable.

Other Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Specifications include MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo). Out of the box, Redmi 6 Pro will run the latest Android OS 8.1 and will receive the MIUI 10 update currently on Beta program.

Shipping with variable memory options which ranges from 32 to 64GB and depending on configuration the price varies. There is also an expansion slot using Micro SD card to achieve additional memory of 256GB with the hybrid slot to limit the hassles of managing your memory space.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro did impress with dual 12MP (f/2.2 aperture lens, 1.25um pixel size) + 5MP (f/2.2 aperture lens, 1.12um Pixel size) mounted at the back panel to take care of your media needs. The sensor features phase detection autofocus, LED-Flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, wide angle, and HDR. On the front dreaded notch is 8MP selfie snapper accompanied by f/2.4 aperture lens to deliver exquisite selfie shots.

Security

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro featured  rear mounted fingerprint identification scanner, replacing the facial identification scanner that featured in Redmi 6A. The scanner is highly optimized for 0.1s unlock time while also ensuring 100% smartphone security. 

Battery

Considering the power efficient Snapdragon 625 that features in the Redmi 5 Plus, the device will have extended battery life on a decent use. Debuting with a 4000mAh battery will charge through Micro USB cable to deliver a fully charged battery under 120 minutes to go days on standby and up to 2days on a decent use.
