With all eyes set on the arrival of the MIUI 12.5 update, Xiaomi has been swiftly rolling out a stable update to fortify eligible phones before the update starts seeding. The Redmi Note 9 is eligible for update and Android 11, but at the moment, it seems the build is not ready to start rolling out. Also, it makes sense that Xiaomi takes time to test the build before they start rolling it out. And while we wait for the updates, Xiaomi has just released a new update in India for the Redmi Note 9.
The update is hitting eligible users with a version number – MIUI 12.0.7.0 QJOINXM in a 621MB package. It comes with multiple optimizations and bug fixes, as well as an updated Android security patch. The update optimized the overall response speed of the system and app launch speed. Also, multiple system features are more responsive now, while multiple issues triggered by insufficient RAM resources have been fixed. At the expense of inessential features, there’s have been major fixes and optimization.
The new update in India for the Redmi Note 9 pushed the Android Security patch level to February 2021 to increase system security. Interestingly, the camera works faster and better now. Meanwhile, the update is arriving on a limited scale and should be available on a wider scale in the next few days. But if you opt-out for manual installation, we have a link below this post, and you can use it to download the ROM and install it via the Recovery method.
As for when the Redmi Note 9 will receive Android 11, there’s currently no ETA.
