Xiaomi is expected to be the first OEM that’ll debut the yet-to-announce premium Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC, at least in China. The Chinese OEM, according to previous leaks, will have an exclusive period with the chip in China, while Samsung will be giving the same privilege in the global market. There have also been lots of other rumors about the device, but the latest leak about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro flagship phone, is about the display.
The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are said to be the company’s first true flagship phone. However, unlike other premium phones with QHD displays, Xiaomi flagship phones have continued to lack in that aspect. But going by the latest leak, it seems the company will equip, at least, one of its upcoming premium phones of next year with a QHD+ display resolution.
According to a Chinese tipster, there’s a higher version smartphone in the works with support for Quad HD+ and 120Hz refresh rate. Although the device name isn’t mentioned, it’s only Xiaomi that has failed to equip their premium phones with such a display, so a good guess should be the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, considering the “high version smartphone.”
The device, according to the leak, will use a punch hole to integrate the selfie camera and will be placed at the top-left corner. The display will have curved edges, but the tipster stressed it won’t be curvy as that found on the Huawei P40 Pro.
So, the under-screen camera technology won’t be debuting with Xiaomi’s next flagship phones, but we expect to see a higher charging speed. The company recently showed-off an 80W wireless charging, which gets a 4000mAh battery from 0-100% in just 19 minutes. That said, we might see the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro debut with a 120W wired and 80W wireless charging combo.
