Android 10 for Redmi Note 8 Pro arrives on more Global device.

Android 10 update for Redmi Note 8 Pro started rolling out a couple of days ago in India and some parts of Europe, while other regions are still waiting for the OTA. Meanwhile, the update has been seen arriving on more Global global devices, in Portugal to be specific. It’s arriving with a build number MIUI 11.0.1.0 QGGMIXM and weighs 2.0GB.

From the build number, it’s a Global Stable MIUI update, which brings Android 10 to the device. Also, it comes with Widevine L1 supports and Android Security Patch for February 2020. Below is the complete Changelog.

Meanwhile, if you encounter a problem switching to standard Netflix HD models, you should clear the data from the Netflix app. We believe the update must have arrived on your phone by now, but if you’re waiting for prompt notification, we advise you to visit the updater app and do manual scanning. Incase it’s not there yet, you should exercise patience and check back later. It seems the update is currently arriving for Beta testers and Mi Pilot

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro launched back in August 2019 running Android 9. It rocks MediaTek G90T gaming SoC with up to 6GB RAM. The battery capacity is 4000mAh with fast charge support via USB-C port. It has a Quad-camera arrangement of 64MP primary snapper, but unfortunately, the successor could only get 48MP while the Note 9 Pro Max rocks the 64MP lens instead.

Redmi launched the Note 9 series today in an online event in India. The event saw the Note 9 Pro debut with a Max variant at the expense of the regular Note 9. For now, there’s no news if the Redmi Note 9 coming this year, but we hope to find out in the coming weeks.
