A few days ago, Google released Android 11 beta 1 for its Pixel phones. As usual, Google also makes the update available for other smartphone makers to integrate into the difference Custom ROM. As such, Xiaomi, a few days ago, announced through one of its official Twitter handle that Android 11 beta 1 for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will arrive soon.
The company has now released Android 11 Beta 1 for the Mi 10. But unfortunately, the update isn’t arriving via OTA, so you will have to download and flash manually. To successfully flash the update, you have to unlock the device bootloader, but don’t worry, we will guide you through it.
How to flash Android 11 Beta 1 for the Mi 10
- First Download the Android 11 beta 1 for the Mi 10 here
- Back up: It’s recommended you wipe all data on the phone. The reason is that some apps are yet to adapt to Android 11 and will help to avert compatibility issues.
Download and install Xiaomi USB driver: the Xiaomi USB driver is a must, you can download the latest USB driver from this link.
Download and Install ADB and Fastboot: they’re also required to flash the Android 11 beta 1 for the Mi 10. Download from here.
Unlock the Bootloader: Probably the delicate part of the whole process. Check the link for how to unlock your device bootloader, including the negative and positive side of it.
