Xiaomi has been swiftly rolling out the Android 11 update to compatible devices in its stable for a while now. But while some devices, perhaps regions, are already on their fourth to fifth Android 11-based MIUI 12 build, some are getting the update for the first time. That’s the situation of the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro units sold in Indonesia as they start receiving their first stable Android 11 update, months since the European models adopted the build. But what’s interesting is that it brings the March security patch, unlike the global and EEA models that currently have their Android security level on February 2021.
Unfortunately, the Android 11 update for Mi 10T / Pro in Indonesia is a stable beta release at the moment. The update will arrive for a selected few for preview. If successful at the end, developers will start pushing the update to the general public. It’ll arrive with a version number – MIUI 12.1.1.0 RJDIDXM – in a 2.8GB package. Aside from pushing the Android version to 11, the update also increases system security by bumping the Android security patch level to March 2021.
However, there have been complaints of the Mi 10T / Pro Android 11 update leaving some bugs. Although that’s what can be fixed with a factory reset, make sure to backup your data before doing that if necessary. And for those that would like to flash the ROM, you can use the link below. You’ll need an authorized Mi Beta account or a compatible TWRP Recovery for now unless the update arrives for you via OTA. To scan for the Android 11 update for Mi 10T / Pro in Indonesia, head over to Settings >>My Device>>Tap on MIUI 12 logo and scan for a new update.
