It seems Xiaomi has the deployment of the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update globally started again. The Chinese company looked as if they stopped the rollout to address some issues reported by early adopters. That’s always the case with major updates, but it seems only a few people are participating in the testing. Perhaps, the reason why the company is currently recruiting beta testers to help preview its latest iteration of MIUI.
While that recruitment is ongoing, they’re pushing the much-anticipated Android 12-based MIUI 13 update for Mi 11 Lite 5G. It’s a global release, and as expected, only select users will receive the update for preview. The reason is always to limit the damage, should there be any bug that was missed by developers. We doubt it, as there have only been a few bugs reported so far, and we believe the update will reach the public soon.
According to reports, the update has a version number – MIUI 13.0.2.0 SKIMIXM and weighs 3.2GB. It has reintroduced features of the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced while improving on stability. Also, there have been additions of new widgets, wallpapers, sidebar, and a new control center that integrates Mi Smart Hub.
Aside from the MIUI 13-based features, the update has introduced some of Android 12 features. It also bumps the Android security patch level to January 2022 to increase system security and stability. Again, the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update for Mi 11 Lite 5G is limited to Mi Pilots. However, you can use the link below to download the build and flash.
