Google has already rolled out two Android 13 betas to eligible Google pixel phones. The company plans to reach platform stability of the upcoming OS this month. Ahead of the Android 13 beta 3, that’ll confirm there won’t be any changes moving forward, Xiaomi now has Android 13 based MIUI 13 builds in the works.
After the Android 13 beta 1 release, Xiaomi announced beta tests for a handful of its phones. The company is testing Android 13 stock version (not based on MIUI) for its flagship phones. That’ll soon blend with MIUI as proofs of the company working on Android 13 based MIUI 13 builds surface.
The company is testing Android 13 based MIUI builds internally for the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Gaming / POCO F4 GT. We expect the build to arrive for closed beta testers after Android 13 beta 3 release in the coming weeks.
Also, these phones will be the first Xiaomi phones to receive a stable Android 13 build. Given past experiences, the first stable build will arrive in October, and hopefully the distribution will be swif unlike the ongoing Android 12 rollout.
