Android 14 Developer Preview: here are all the new features 

Android 14 Developer Preview 1 is now available, kicking off this year’s preview cycle ahead of an estimated Q3 release. Through the next several hours, we’ll go over everything of Android 14 Developer Preview 1’s new features and changes. 

The most recent updates will appear at the top of this list. Android 13 screenshots are on the left, while DP1 pictures are on the right. Expect 5 additional releases before the commercial debut of Pixel phones later this year.

Battery Saver UI tweaks 

You may now pick between “Basic” and “Extreme Battery Saver,” and everything, including Adaptive Battery, is now on one page.

Battery usage drop-down menu

Battery use now uses a menu to select between “Breakdown by applications” and “Breakdown by system,” rather than an inline dropdown.

Fast Pair in connection preferences

This was also seen throughout last year’s preview cycle.
