Android Auto 11.2 stable: All the new features explained

After a successful beta preview, Google is rolling out the Android Auto 11.2 stable update to everyone. The update is coming with new exciting features while optimizing performance and resolving bugs, as always. According to reports, the latest update has revamped the Google Assistant interface and introduced a timely overheating warning.

Android Auto 9.0 stable

It’s no surprise to see a new Android Auto update, but it’s a different release this time. Google is introducing two new features with the current rollout, and we recommend installing the update. Aside from the latest additions, the update has improved performance and resolved issues.

New features coming with Android Auto 11.2 stable update

Streamlined Assistant Interaction: Google always looks for ways to improve Android Auto. They have come up with a new look for the Assistant to give more focus on Navigation. With the current update, Google Assistant has moved to the bottom bar or side panel, depending on your Car’s head unit. Of course, it is still easily accessible, with voice replies now appearing on the space not used by the Map.

Proactive Overheating Alerts: there have been issues with Android Auto disconnecting, probably due to overheating. With the new additions, device temperature will be actively monitored to alert you when the phone gets too hot. It will help take measures like lowering the display brightness or changing the device location to avoid random disconnects.

Aside from these two features, the Android Auto 11.2 stable update also delivers optimization and bug fixes. We recommend installing the update via the Google Play store. You can download the APK file from here
