Android Auto 11.8 stable update is now available for download

Google is rolling out a new Android Auto 11.8 stable update. It’s been only a few days since the company released the v11.7, and now, a new version is available for everyone. Perhaps, the company is moving away from beta testing, as this is the second time they are pushing a new update to the public without seeding to those in the beta program.

Android Auto 11.8 stable update

As usual, Google didn’t include a changelog with the Android Auto 11.8 stable update rolling out. However, it doesn’t seem to include new features, as Google focuses on improving performance and resolving bugs. That’s the case with the latest release, but it has included a new feature that has been rolling out for some time now.

Google releases new Android Auto features in batches. Some regions receive these new additions before others, which is the case of the phone icon and wallpaper support. The idea is to have your phone icon and home screen wallpaper on your Android Auto screen to create consistency. If you are yet to receive the feature, we recommend installing the latest Android Auto update.

In addition to introducing new features, Google has resolved the voice command issue with WhatsApp. The issue was from WhatsApp, which has now been fixed. Another reason to install the latest update is if you still have problems executing commands with Assistance when using WhatsApp.
