After Android Auto 10.9 stable, Google has moved to a new cycle. The tech giant is currently rolling out the Android Auto 11 beta update to eligible users, but you can install the update on your device.
Google has consistently released a new Android Auto update every fortnight since the release of the Coolwalk redesign. As expected, a new update is rolling out to beta testers, which comes with version number V11.0.1347 and weighs about 41MB. Unfortunately, the update does not come with a changelog, making it hard to say what comes with it.
Android Auto 11 beta update is a big leap considering the version number, but it doesn’t seem like it comes with any substantial feature. According to reports, the update focuses on system security and bug fixes. Those who installed it already confirmed there’s no new addition, only system improvements.
Nevertheless, Google is working on a few additions, and it might start rolling out soon. The disconnect button spotted a few weeks ago is still under testing. It will allow the disconnection of wireless connections, while wired connections will still need the Bluetooth to be deactivated.
Also, Android Auto will soon let you use the same wallpaper on your phone on your car head unit. Google has been working on a custom Wallpaper for Android Auto, but we don’t know if you can change the Android Auto wallpaper without changing that on a mobile device.
Meanwhile, it is unclear when Google plans to release these features to the public, but you can follow our social media platforms to be updated. We will notify you when the new additions become available in your region.
