Android Auto Coolwalk feature is now available for cars with Rotary input

The Android Auto Coolwalk feature was one feature of Android Auto that was long anticipated. Since it was tipped by Google, the Android community awaited its arrival. Well, it arrived about a month ago although it was exclusive to users on the beta channel and vehicles with Rotary input never got the feel of the software.

Reports of Android Auto Coolwalk feature on cars with Rotary input

The Coolwalk feature just started rolling out to cars with Rotary input this week. About three days ago, users made their observations known on the Android Auto subreddit platform. According to them, the change happened so quickly, as quickly as going to the store to get a few things and coming back to meet the redesign.

When Big G started rolling out the feature, it seems leaving out cars with Rotary input was a conscious move so the feature can be optimized better for the method of input. This was evident as users who had enrolled in the beta channel (and had cars with Rotary input) couldn’t access the software.

Well, it’s nice the brand put these cars into consideration by offering them a better UI and even nicer, they had to optimize the feature for that method of input to avoid crashes.

Meanwhile, to get the Coolwalk feature, you have to enrol on the beta program, although there are no longer spaces due to the rush when the feature was initially announced to be available. Probably, the feature will still be rolled out to users widely and everyone will get to use the Coolwalk.
