We’ve got more details about the Pro lineup of the Apple iPhone 15 series, the successor to the Apple iPhone 14 series. It’s the Apple iPhone 15 Pro leaks(this time) and according to what it says, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro will be debuting with thin bezels and a titanic frame.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro thin bezels and Titanium frame
According to leaks, the iPhone 15 Pro will feature thin bezels surrounding the display, thanks to the new low-injection pressure over-molding (LIPO) display technology. This will reduce the bezels to just 1.5mm, compared to 2.2mm on the iPhone 14 Pro series. The LIPO display technique has been used in the Apple Watch Series 7 and is expected to be implemented in the iPhone Pro series and possibly the next generation of iPad Pro products.
In addition to the thin bezels, the iPhone 15 Pro will reportedly have a titanium frame, replacing the current stainless steel implementation used since the iPhone X days. The titanium frame is expected to be stronger and lighter, enhancing the overall durability and design of the device.
The camera system in the iPhone 15 Pro series will also see improvements, with a real periscope lens specifically designed for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, offering 6x optical magnification. Under the hood, the iPhone 15 Pro will be powered by the Apple A17 chipset, which will be fabricated on TSMC’s 3nm node, ensuring enhanced performance and efficiency. The overall design of the iPhone 15 Pro is said to feature softer edges compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro, and it will be part of Apple’s redesigned chassis design, making repairs easier.
It is anticipated that the iPhone 15 Pro and the entire iPhone 15 generation will support USB-C. However, with all the new features and improvements, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to cost $200 more than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the standard iPhone 15 Pro will be $100 more expensive than the previous model. These additional features and capabilities are likely to come at a premium price point.
