Xiaomi has improved its security patch update releases in the past few months and is behind Samsung in rolling out the latest patch update. While Samsung’s April 2023 has been seeding for days, Xiaomi has released the latest patch update, while we expect Pixel phones to get theirs later today.
Security patches are very important, and it is good smartphone companies release them monthly to patch vulnerabilities. We have seen some serious security issues patched by these updates, and aside from that, it also optimizes system performance and resolves bugs.
The April 2023 security patch for Xiaomi phones is currently rolling out in India. It’s arriving for the Redmi Note 11T 5G with a version number MIUI 13.0.9.0 SGBINXM. The build weighs 84 MB, and of course, it didn’t bring the much-anticipated Android 13 upgrade. Perhaps, it’s an update to fortify the device ahead of the supposed upgrade.

The rollout is available for global and European users with version numbers MIUI 14.0.2.0 TLFMIXM and MIUI 14.0.9.0 TLFEUXM, respectively. More Xiaomi phones have picked up the April 2023 security patch update. The Mi 10 Pro is getting the update along with Android 13 and MIUI 14 upgrades. It has a version number MIUI 14.0.1.0 TJAEUXM, which is exclusive to European users. You can download here: Recovery.
Also, the Xiaomi Mi 11X is getting a new security patch update with a version number MIUI 14.0.3.0 TKHINXM. It’s for those in India to increase their device’s system security and stability.
