The Android 14 is almost here but just before entering into the era of a new stock Android OS, phone brands are still combining their Android 13 with the stock counterpart to give something sleek. Well, we have the Asus Zenfone 9 Android 13 update this time.
Asus brand release (which surfaced days ago) showed how the Asus smartphones were going to receive the Android 13 software. We were said to expect the Asus Zenfone 9 Android 13 update first before the Asus Zenfone 8 lineup and then onto the other series – it seems the ball has started rolling.
The Asus Zenfone 9 Android 13 update bears firmware version WW_33.0804.2060.65 and includes the newest security patch currently, that’s the December security patch. The update doesn’t have a specific region it’s seeding in currently and can be obtained by manually searching for it in the Settings – yes, you don’t get notified.
That said, Zenfone 9 smartphones from GSMArena have received the update (by manually navigating through the smartphones), and you could do the same.
What’s new with the Asus Zenfone 9 Android 13 update?
The Asus Zenfone 9 Android 13 update is a bit similar to the stock Android 13, especially in the UI. The changelog is a bit lengthy, however, the brand gave a quick tutorial (that showed a few features from the software) after installing the update.
According to the tutorial, there’s the cross-device copy and paste, new media controls, full display album artwork, increased privacy and many more. As mentioned earlier, the update is should be available to everyone (as it isn’t according to regions) and you will not get a notification when it’s available. Rather, navigate to Settings>Software Updates and check if an update is available.
