European variants of the Mi A3 are now receiving the August security patch. Download below…
The Xiaomi Mi A2 and A2 Lite, having received their last guarantee security patch last month, means the Mi A3 is the only Android One phone with active support. Xiaomi has already suspended the series, and hence, the Mi A3 should be the last we see from the company. The device is also in its final year of security support, and we expect maximum support as usual. And as expected, the August security patch for Xiaomi Mi A3 has been released.
It’s the global version of the Mi A3 pushing the August patch. We expect the rollout to extend to the European model very soon. Meanwhile, the August security patch for Xiaomi Mi A3 is hitting global models with a version number – V12.0.13.0 RFQMIXM. It weighs in at 35MB. The update, according to the changelog, has optimized system performance and improved security and stability.
And while the update has addressed security vulnerabilities, we can’t confirm if it fixed any of the previously reported bugs. That is unlikely, though, but the good thing is that the update is safe. Hence, we recommend that you download and install the build when prompted to improve your device security. And as for when the update will arrive in Europe, there’s currently no ETA. However, since the current rollout is a stable release, it won’t be long before it comes to Europe.
To scan for the update, head over to Settings>>System updates. Also, you can use the links below to download the ROM and flash. However, if you haven’t done such before, we recommend that you wait for the OTA to avoid bricking your device.
