Xiaomi is expected to officially present the next iteration of MIUI in the coming weeks. Ahead of the unveiling, the company has been releasing some features to the closed beta group in China. There’s no doubt that Xiaomi MIUI needs some polishing to start competing favorably with other Android skin out there. The Redmi Note 11 series phones comprising Note 11, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro Plus are the latest offering of the Xiaomi sub-brand. They debuted running Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5, which makes them eligible for Android 12. Xiaomi, unlike other OEMs, rarely releases a roadmap for major Android OS upgrades. While they do for their in-house MIUI Android skin, we have to rely on the company’s update policy for phones eligible for that next Android OS upgrade.
