As the HyperOS continues to arrive for more phones, more bugs are being reported. The update recently arrived for the POCO M5 Pro 5G / Redmi 12 5G users in India, and it seems to be an issue with the camera screen and call recorder.
Xiaomi HyperOS update has been rolling out for months, and there have been cases of bugs after installing the update. However, it’s the first time we have come across the camera screen and call recorder issues being reported by POCO M6 Pro 5G / Redmi 12 5G. The problem seems exclusive to India ROM, as they’re the only region reporting the bug.
According to reports, the camera screen flickers/blinks when taking a picture. Those running OS1.0.1.0.UMWINXM is having the issue, which is the same build experiencing difficulty getting the call recorder to work. Unfortunately, there is no idea what is causing the problem, but we understand that some system apps might not have adapted to Android 14.
If you installed the affected build on your POCO M6 Pro 5G / Redmi 12 5G, you should back up your data and perform a factory reset. These issues can be resolved with resetting your phone or you wait for a new update. We don’t know when Xiaomi plans to release one since they are still analyzing the cause of the problem. Nevertheless, you can follow our social media platforms to know when a new update is available.
