Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are the world’s most popular video streaming services. Both services create original shows and films, have won accolades for their work, and offer popular licensed programs that circulate through their libraries. Even though these two services compete, they are vastly different in terms of price, content selection, and added features. So, if you only have time to choose one, which one would you pick? Well, it isn’t always an easy option to make. So, in this guide, we will do a comparison between Netflix Vs Amazon prime videos based on some of the most important criteria. Thus, without much further ado, let’s get straight to the point.

Netflix Vs Amazon Prime Video

Comparing Netflix vs Amazon Prime video

Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, being two of the most popular video streaming services in the world, share similar features, such as multiple profiles and customization choices.

1. User Interface

Netflix features a slick, well-optimized user interface that works well on a variety of platforms. The interfaces on Amazon prime are more convoluted and less integrated, making browsing and overall navigation more challenging. This could be because Prime Video is one of the different services available through the Amazon marketplace, whereas Netflix is solely focused on your VOD experience.

2. Price

The pricing plan is one of the most significant distinctions between Netflix and Amazon. If you want to watch, you’ll have to pay a certain amount. Netflix’s price structure is straightforward: Basic ($9 per month), Standard ($14 per month), and Premium ($18 per month) are the three tiers of video streaming services. Netflix subscriptions allow you access to the comprehensive collection of ad-free movies, TV series, and specials available on the service. The quality of the video and the number of devices that can stream at the same time are the only things that change as you pay more.

Amazon Prime Video is even easier to use. A $13 monthly Amazon Prime membership grants you ad-free access to the entire Amazon Prime Video library, as well as a slew of other shopping-related perks. The Amazon Prime monthly membership gives you access to the highest quality streaming available on your TV, streaming device, and internet connection.

3. Compatibility of devices

Amazon Prime video is compatible with a variety of devices and platforms including Web browsers on a PC or Mac, Android devices, Android TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, iOS devices, Nintendo, Roku, Smart TVs, and Xbox.

Netflix, on the other hand, boasts the widest range of device support of any streaming service. Netflix surpasses Amazon in this category since it supports all of the same devices as Amazon, as well as some additional devices.

4. Customization

On a single Netflix account, you can create up to five different profiles. Each profile has its own set of parental restrictions. You can also use the service to restrict your viewing possibilities by requiring a special code to view particular categories of information. It’s a little more difficult to create profiles with Amazon Prime Video. In this regard, Netflix outperforms Amazon because it does what Amazon does best.

5. Content

When it comes to content, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix are at odds. Amazon Prime Video has a larger library of titles, whereas Netflix excels in original programming. comes to original programming. Original series and movies from both streaming platforms have won accolades. When it comes to licensing shows, Netflix is a bit slow because it’s usually a season behind. Amazon, on the other hand, allows you to rent or buy episodes of fresh content after they have been shown, which Netflix does not do.
