Xiaomi has kept its promise and that of the Android One project until this time for the Mi A2 users. The device debuted running Android 8.1 and has received two OS upgrades: Android 9 and 10, which is the maximum OS support. However, the device still has a year to receive security patch updates and not a single month has Xiaomi failed to deliver the update. And as expected, the December security patch for Mi A2 is now live for the global users.
The update started seeding some hours ago. It’s a public release and will arrive for everyone running the global ROM. It has a version number, V11.0.19.0 QDIMIXM, and we expect other regions to start getting the update in the coming days.
Arriving with the December security patch update for Mi A2, of course, the December patch. The system security and stability have improved as well, while there’s little or no fix for the previously reported bugs. But luckily, the new update is safe as it didn’t break anything, and hence, you should update your device when prompted.
