Details of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 surfacing could mean early debut

The current flagship of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is off to a good start. I mean, a lot of Android OEMs are already tapping from the efficient and highly productive chip and it’s quite amazing. Meanwhile, the details of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the successor, have surfaced and this might mean we’re off for an early debut.

What’s with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3?

Qualcomm, according to Digital Chat Station, will ship the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “a little early” than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Since there is no precise information here, we may conclude that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be unveiled in October 2023 or very early November, as opposed to the late November 2022 revelation of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The unveiling was also ahead of schedule, with Qualcomm typically revealing its flagship processors in December in advance of new smartphones releasing in the New Year.

Its October release would coincide with Google’s Pixel launch, where the firm is likely to reveal Tensor G3 with the Pixel 8 series. According to Digital Chat Station, the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphones might be released before the end of the year. The OnePlus 11 was among the first to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, making its debut in China in the first week of January.

The specifics of Qualcomm’s next flagship are unknown at this time, although the processor is expected to include more performance enhancements as well as the new Snapdragon X75 modem that the firm introduced last week.
