With MIUI 13 now on the horizon, Xiaomi is pushing to finalize the MIUI 12.5 rollout. If the latest report is true, then the first MIUI 13 beta update is currently rolling out in China. It might arrive publicly tomorrow to those participating in the closed beta test. The schedule falls in line with the August unveiling as announced by one of the company’s executives. And while those in China have probably all received the MIUI 12.5 update, the global rollout is far from a conclusion. Each day, a new device receives the update globally, and now, the European Mi 11 Lite 4G MIUI 12.5 update is seeding for select users.
The update is seeding with the anticipated features, but it has fixed some bugs affecting notification. There are situations where notification badges aren’t updated for incoming notifications. Also, lock screen notifications froze after unlocking with face ID, and notifications flashed in some cases. All that has been addressed with the latest build while the Android security patch level has been bumped to June 2021 to increase system security and stability.
Meanwhile, the European Mi 11 Lite 4G MIUI 12.5 update has a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RKQEUXM – and weighs in at 941MB. It has improved gesture response time and optimized system performance, making MIUI faster, smoother and lighter. Also, power consumption and background memory usage have been reduced, and with 20x more rendering power, there are few limits to what you can see on your screen.
Again, the update is on a limited rollout. It will arrive in batches, and hence, will take some days before appearing on all eligible units. Flow our tracker page to know when the update becomes available in your region.
