Google One is adding a package to all their plans and this might just be another reason for you to engage in the software. Free VPN will now be available with all Google One plans.

Until now, Google’s VPN service was only available to people with one of the costlier Google One levels, but that is changing. Henceforth, all Google One plans will include the free VPN, though the implementation is continuing and may take a few weeks to complete.
Google One users in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States can use the service. Sadly, these are the only countries mentioned and we don’t know why there aren’t more – they might be added in the coming weeks though.
Nonetheless, the good news is that you’ll be able to use the VPN on Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac devices, and you’ll be able to share it with up to five other Google One subscribers.
A new dark web report is also available for Google One members in the United States. This allows you to search the dark web for instances of your personal information that may have been exposed as a result of various internet security breaches. Online identity fraud caused by stolen information is a growing problem that, according to Google, impacts “millions of individuals” each year
When the new service discovers any of your personal information on the dark web, it will tell you. The way it works is that you first offer and pick the information you want it to monitor, and then it does so. If it detects anything, it will also provide you with advice on how to preserve that information.
If Google discovers your Social Security number, it will advise you to report it as stolen to the government or take action to safeguard your credit. The Dark Web Report will be available “over the coming several weeks” to subscribers of all Google One plans in the United States.
