Xiaomi is yet to start rolling out the stable MIUI 12 update to those running global ROM on their Redmi 9. It’s been weeks since the update arrived for the Indian users, while the Chinese model came pre-installed with the ROM, but somehow, it’s taking forever to start arriving on the global models.
According to Alvin Tse, Xiaomi executive in Indonesia, the global stable MIUI 12 update for the Redmi 9 could start arriving this month. However, it seems the update isn’t ready yet, and while we wait on the release, the Indian variants start receiving a fresh MIUI 12 update.
The latest Redmi 9 MIUI 12 update is the third build that has been released for the Indian users. It’s currently arriving, as usual, for selected users for the preview phase and will be made available to the public in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the update is arriving with a version number, MIUI 12.0.3.0 QCTINXM. It’s a security patch update, which brings the October security fix and also improves the system security. As for when the update will be available on the global channel, we still believe the words of the executive. According to him, the update will start arriving this month, but until the update is live, only then can we have access to the download link.
