While we’re feeling the heat of the Android 13 and drawing closer to the dawn of Android 14(of which Samsung promises to have a faster rollout), Samsung is rolling out the Galaxy A01 Android 12 update to users in the US.
The Galaxy A01 debuted with Android 10 and has gotten Android 11, the Galaxy A01 Android 12 update will be the last the smartphone will witness which (on average) is quite impressive since the smartphone is not in the flagship lineup.
The update will be taking up firmware version A015UVHU7CVK9 and is currently available on the Xfinity mobile network carrier in the US – as usual, the update will get to other network carriers and possibly other regions as well.
What’s new?
First off, alongside the Galaxy A01 Android 12 update bringing in the OneUI 4.1, the Korean tech giant decided to bump up the security level of this smartphone by adding the September security patch as well.
As for what features are present in the OneUI 4.1, expect Material You Pallette, better RAM management, camera enhancements, tweaks to many stock apps, and new privacy and accessibility controls among many others – although the update might not be as sleek as it is on flagships.
